As a self-taught artist, after high school and years of experimentation, 22-year-old artist Rachel Beltz found her own way to appreciate the small details of life. On 10×10 sheets of paper, the U.S. painter uses watercolors to create drawings the size of a quarter of Dollars, true detailed miniatures to look at with a magnifying glass.
Rachel Beltz claims that her works “take you out of the everyday”, making those who look at her works focus on small details. A workout to replicate in everyday life as well.
Nothing like our high school art classes, improvising tools, mixed colors and brushes with destroyed bristles. Beltz’s work is surgical, watercolors blending without blurring, defining shades and shapes of flamingos, lions, planets and plants.
