Almost all of us have that chair in our bedroom, the one with a pile of clothes on it, neither dirty nor clean. Not quite ready for the laundry, but not clean enough for the closet. Starting from this common scenario, Whirlpool—along with Natuzzi and Fabio Novembre—has embarked on a project that aims to reduce environmental impact.

This is how the Wash Less project was born, a true piece of furniture resulting from the collaboration between the Whirlpool brand and Natuzzi. The design of this innovative seat was created by visionary architect Fabio Novembre. The armchair represents a step forward in the world of innovation and encourages us to rethink our washing habits, promoting the idea of washing less and offering a practical solution for clothes that are «not quite clean, but not dirty enough to wash». This project elevates the concept of the “clothes chair” to a new level. Novembre’s latest creation is both a comfortable armchair and a practical valet stand, blending seamlessly into any contemporary setting.

Supporting this project is a study conducted by Beko Europe, which begins with an interesting fact: while 33% of people consciously try to wash their clothes less frequently, the mystery of the ever-growing pile of clothes remains unsolved. In fact, 74% admit to hiding these clothes when guests arrive, suggesting that even for those who strive to wash less, the infamous “laundry chair” remains a constant presence. The armchair thus becomes a true statement of sustainable living.
