The prevailing feeling when going on a trip, especially if it is to an unknown place, is that of taking a leap into the unknown, into the history of people and places that we do not know and that could be perfect for ourselves. These same places would then end up telling us something we did not know about our relationship with nature, our expectations and the bonds we have with the bodies around us.
The two photographers Gio Blonde and Lulù Withheld chose to make a journey together, to Romagna, a territory known in part but to be discovered in its intimacy, thus giving birth to the “Wild Romagna” project. First alone then adding, over the past year, travelling companions armed with a lens and visions, starting off again from the beach where the search had stopped a year earlier.
The discovery of the new world is always a new discovery, surprising man and mankind at an unexpected moment.
