Since its founding in 1830 – making it America’s oldest outdoor clothing brand – nature has been a constant source of inspiration for Woolrich.
Today, the Pennsylvania-born brand is launching the Woolrich Outdoor Foundation, in collaboration with 1% for the Planet, adding another important chapter in the journey to support nature.

The Woolrich Outdoor Foundation’s mission is clear: to protect and safeguard outdoor spaces for communities around the world, taking care of the Planet and the people who have inspired the brand and been part of its development.
With the help of 1% for the Planet, Woolrich will devolve one percent of revenues from Direct-To-Consumer channels (mono-brand stores and e-commerce) in support of environmental projects related to the three pillars of the foundation: Redevelopment of urban spaces, Protection of forests and Safeguarding of the coasts.
Donations will then be distributed in this way: 50% in monetary contributions and 50% in products, volunteer hours, services or advertising and communications activities.
It is anticipated that during the first three years, the Woolrich Outdoor Foundation’s total investment in environmental projects will amount to no less than $3 million.

These are the words of Stefano Saccone, CEO of Woolrich, about the project:
“It’s important to us to repay the people and the planet that have inspired us and helped build our brand, which is why we’ve decided to donate 1% of our direct sales to fund important environmental projects through our partnership with 1% for the Planet. Working together, we can donate, volunteer and actively provide services to ensure and create a brighter, more sustainable future.”.
