Many stories are forgotten as quickly as they come to our attention, but when it comes to problems such as domestic violence, we should keep a reminder. The Turkish artist and graphic designer Vahit Tuna thought it heartbreaking, but important to remember that in the last year in his native country 40% of women suffered domestic violence.
So he created a memorial in their honor composed only of high heels, a choice not only designed from an aesthetic and visual point of view but a symbolic one, representing the power and the independence he would like for all women.
The art installation is set up in a central location in Istanbul and this time it will be difficult to ignore it.
