Art and fashion now travel on tracks that tend to cross each other more and more often.
The last example, not in order of importance but exclusively from a chronological point of view, is the one that involved Acne Studios and conceptual artist Rabin Huissen.
The Swedish fashion house involved the netherland-based artist for a capsule collection part of Spring/Summer 2022, representing “an exploration of the soul’s communicative energy and the concept of time”.
The capsule consists of a T-shirt, a short sleeve shirt, long sleeve tops, tunics, an oversized hoodie and pants.
This research is carried out through a series of items embellished by Huissen’s ethereal works, which depict parts of the body of human beings but represented in an almost immaterial way and with different techniques each time, such as photography, painting and drawing. A sort of journey into the contemporary human condition in what can be seen as a typical diary story, in which emotions, reflections and moods are poured.
The Acne Studios x Rabin Huissen capsule consists of a T-shirt, a short-sleeved shirt, long-sleeved tops, tunics, an oversized hoodie and pants that are already available through the online shop of the Swedish brand’s website as well as in all Acne Studios boutiques.
