You Can Sleep in Up’s House, And Also At Musée d’Orsay

A new category has popped up on Airbnb. It’s called Icons and it centers around film, music, art and more. If you click on the section what it reads is: Floating Dreams in Up’s House; Stay in the X-Mansion; Wake up in the Orsay Museum, Play with Khaby Lame. Not only sojourns, but also experiences such as precisely playing with the King of TikTok. As Brian Chesky, Airbnb’s co-founder as well as CEO, said during the Summer Release, «Icons take you into worlds that until now existed only in your imagination,» and that’s exactly right. Airbnb is adapting to an audience that is never satisfied and always wants more, raising the bar of experiences by also focusing on the concept of exclusivity. In fact, all Icons offerings are only available for a limited time, and guests are also selected by a team based on their responses, evaluating their “connection to the Host,” as the information states.

The price? Contrary to what you may think, some of these experiences are even free or under $100 per person. A true marketing operation that, as Chesky said, aims to «create more magic in the real world,» especially with a view to countering virtual reality and bringing fantasy into reality.
