Alessandro Mendini, famed for his iconic design, has passed away aged 87 on 18 February 2019. Born in Milan on 16 August 1931, we will always remember him as the eternal child, the one who brought joy, color, and love to de design world and a key figure in the radical movement of the 1960s. Alessandro was an architect, a designer and he played an integral role with design publications including Casabella, Modo, and Domus. We like to remember him as the one who said:
“I started to do this job because this is the best way to play, to make your heart beat faster, to come out of your chest like a cartoon frame. I want to find myself and never forget that I’m the same as when I was a child.”

In the last years of production, Mendini made a stunning collaboration with Supreme in February 2016. A stylized gun graphic features on a ceramic tray, a work jacket, and a pullover hoodie.
We want to celebrate him today by showing you the images of this collaboration. Thanks Alessandro we love you!
