Visual and Urban Artist Angel Toren has created a new mural in Murcia, Spain. The wall on which he has worked is that of the building housing ASPAYM Murcia, an association that cares for and rehabilitates people with spinal cord injury and other physical disabilities.
Chromatic Breakup covers an area of 300 square metres and was created by the artist in just four days.

The subject matter is abstract and geometric, with full use of all colours, a typical signature of many of Angel Toren’s artworks. Trained as a Graphic Designer, the approach to digital work always emerges in the choice of shapes and subjects even for urban works. The interest in typography also converges in Toren’s style, using repetitions, optical effects, frames and 3D perspectives that when seen from the street increase the scenic effect of his works. The scenic aspect is important for the final result of the work, and for this work the street artist has also linked up with the tradition of posters in theatres and cinemas, which decorated cities by hand-painting their signs, leaving traces even after a long time.
