The sneakers full of stuff by Louis Sarowsky

Louis Sarowsky, also known as Luker Lou, is an American skateboarder and artist from Massachusetts. His work as an artist and sculptor revolves around the street world and the use of recycled materials.

Louis Sarowsky began by working on the object closest and best known to him: the skateboard. Using soles of shoes, credit cards no longer valid and dozens of other unused objects, the artist began to propose alternative boards, to be hung on the wall as works of art.

His experimentation quickly moved from skateboards to another symbolic object of street culture, sneakers. For some time now, Louis has been enjoying using resin to make perfect casts of some of the most iconic models. Once the cast is finished, the artist fills it with the most disparate things: from food to rubber scraps, from subway tiles to action figures.

We have selected the strangest ones, but we invite you to discover Louis Sarowsky’s Instagram profile to see all the models and also all the other sculptures.
