In 2003 Patty Carroll, an English educator and photographer, leaves Britain and decides to move to the United States. Walking through flea and antique market, looking and choosing pieces of furniture for her new home, start to think about the role of woman in domestic life.

Anonymous Women pay tribute to women of a past, as an ironic reference to an often obsessive attitude in home care, shelter and power place but sometimes even of annulment and wait.

Even if invisible and confused with the upholstery, the women portrayed by Patty Carroll manifest and declare their personality through the colors and texture of the fabric that conceal their faces.
