His name is Ardif and he is a French street artist active mainly in Paris and recognizable thanks to the style of his works. Once you discover his art you will be able to recognize it everywhere, if among a thousand murals there was also one of his would still be impossible to be wrong.
Ardif’s favourite subject is animals, which he manages to represent in a hyperrealistic way, capturing all the details of insects, lions, sharks and so on. But that’s not all.
The street artist copies reality as it is only half the figure, while for the other half his drawing becomes more and more mechanical, as if he were revealing a hypothetical scaffolding of bricks and gears hidden under the skin of his subjects.
Nature thus mixes with architecture, the only thing that divides them is the colour, in fact the “hidden” part is always in black and white.
Below you will find a selection of his works, to find out more go to his Instagram profile.
