Balenciaga has recently presented its Spring/Summer 2022 collection and has done so with the collaboration of artist Claudia Maté

Originally from Madrid but based in Paris, the digital artist who usually works combining interactive 3D, game design, VR and more, played with the shots of Balenciaga models Tommy Blue, Eugenie Bondurant, Marie-Agnès Diene, Abdou Diop, Zinedine El Ouazzani, Gwen Lu, Aki Nummela, Anania Orgeas, Hansi Schmidt, Minttu Vesala and Inti Wang, reimagining them as digital avatars.

The result is a mix between past and future that moves between the first The Sims and the Metaverse, a peculiar aesthetic that helps to define even more the idea of Demna and that fully reflects the work of Claudia Maté, which is often provocative and full of elements that characterize the world of the Internet from its beginnings to the present day.

Below you can take a look at Balenciaga’s SS22 shots.
