Beyond Time is the new Chiharu Shiota’s installation at Yorkshire Sculpture Park until September 2.
Like another Chiharu’s works, including her most famous one: The Key In The Hand (2015), this one is absolutely amazing too. From the metallic skeleton of a piano spring meters and meters of white thread. Sheets music are hanging to these threads, like midges in the spider web. It’s like the soul of piano, made by music and notes, fill all the space.
The Japanese artist’s installation is exposed in an 18TH-century chapel and thanks to the setting the final result is definitely suggestive.
