For many years now, the aesthetic inspired by Wes Anderson‘s films is totally colonizing the world and now it has also arrived in Ukraine, with the Breadway Bakery. This 84 square meter café located in the center of Odessa, offers an aesthetic that focuses on pastel pink and makes us think of places like Pink Zebra, of which we had previously spoken here and at the Prada Foundation’s Bar Luce.

In fact, the interior designer from Kiev Lera Brumina and the architect Artem Trigubchak were inspired by the same incredible atmosphere of the Milan cafeteria. The contrasting but complementary colors of bright blue and coral play with the American pop aesthetic, making this space an harmonious triumph of pastel tones and textures. Each color has a specific function, as it separates the rooms: the blue marks, in particular, the take-out area, while a gray area adds a contemporary touch to the structure, where visitors, seated in pink velvet chairs, enjoy cups of coffee and sweet croissants. Ceramica Bardelli‘s glossy tiles adorn the main hall, together with the minimalist metal chandeliers.

Ok aesthetics, but the substance?

The menu is based on the enhancement of local products such as ham and cheese croissants, salmon, avocado, salad or bacon, cheese and sandwiches with onion jam. The desserts are very inviting and looked after from the point of view of cake design, after all, it could not be the opposite in such a trendy place.
