We are in Milan, in the Sant’Ambrogio area, near Cattolica University. In via Lanzone 6 the brothers Gustavo and Vito Latis, both architects, built a residential architecture between 1949 and 1951 in a plot struck by the WWII bombing in 1943.
The architecture consists of two buildings, with the condominium garden. But the most interesting thing is the loggias and the terraces, whose iron parapets have been decorated by the artist Lucio Fontana, who creates flower vases and decorative ceramics using red, yellow, green and blue colors and with shapes engraved and relief typical of the artist’s work. Maybe you walk in front of it every day and you’ve never noticed it, or maybe you’ve always wondered who made it. Well if you have never been there you must go to enjoy the beauty of this pearl set in the historic center of Milan.
