One of the issues that most alerts the scientific community, and not only the scientific community, is certainly climate change. It has serious consequences for many aspects of the life of all living beings and for the stability of planet Earth.
Global warming, for example, is having a clear impact on the life of an endangered species, the polar bears.

It is precisely from this criticality that Canada Goose‘s project was born, which for more than 10 years actively supports the cause of Polar Bears International, a non-profit organization for the protection of the polar bear through research, education and action programs.

It is in this perspective that a series of initiatives aimed at sustaining the PBI are inserted: the realization of a dedicated capsule collection that sees as testimonial the American model and actress Kate Upton, the production of a documentary that tells in 20 minutes what Polar Bears International is doing to preserve polar bears and, last in order of time, the collaboration with MEDICOM TOY for the realization of a BE@RBRICK collection with an arctic theme, launched today on the occasion of the World Polar Bear Day.

Produced in limited edition and inspired by the documentary “Bear Existence: A Documentary About Polar Bears International“, it is available in three different sizes: 1000% at the price of € 950 of which € 50 will be donated to the PBI cause, while the other two sizes (100% + 400%), sold in a single set, cost € 195 of which € 25 will be donated.

The design of the BE@EBRICK is peculiar, half of the figure is in pure white, just like the snowy environment that is home to polar bears, while the other side is fully reflected, to recall the important link between the survival of these endangered animals and our responsibility to help preserve their natural habitat.

The “PBI AMBASSADOR OF THE ARCTIC” logo is imprinted on the front and the Canada Goose logo on the back is available from today, February 27th, on the Canadian brand’s website and in selected stores.
