Casa de Monte, a Mexican oasis surrounded by greenery

Surrounded by hectares of land, the Casa de Monte measures only 42 square meters, making it the perfect refuge for a couple.

The project by TACO, taller de arquitectura contextual, is a home that focuses on simplicity. The house is spread over three levels, the first is dedicated to the living area, with kitchen and living room that extend to the outside, through a large terrace overlooking nature. The two upper floors form the sleeping area, with bedroom and bathroom, also connected to the outside by a staircase that leads to the entrance.

In the middle of the greenery, TACO’s project stands out thanks to its geometric and clean shape and thanks to the raw stucco covering with handmade paint based on lime and natural pigment that gives it a calm pinkish tone.

La Casa de Monte challenges the modern trends that see more and more high-tech materials and sinuous shapes, creating a holiday home in which we all would like to live.
