Along the coasts of Mølle and Kullaberg in Sweden, the new campaign for the second chapter of the collaboration between The North Face and Cecilie Bahnsen comes to life. Photographed by Ellen Fedors with styling by Emelie Johansson, this campaign follows its debut during the designer’s Fall/Winter 2025 show at Paris Fashion Week.

The North Face athletes, such as trail runner Ida-Sophie Hegemann and boulderer Melina Costanza, move through the Scandinavian landscape with the same ease with which the sea meets the land. Their gestures are both determined and light, as if strength were born from grace. It is within this tension — between movement and stillness, between the detail of a face and the open horizon — that Cecilie Bahnsen’s vision takes shape.

“It was important to me that the women portrayed embodied determination and lightness,” the designer explains. “This balance represents the way I design and the way these garments should live in the world.” The campaign thus becomes a natural extension of the collection: a reflection on the relationship between femininity and functionality, where the energy of exploration meets the delicacy of form.

Fedors’s photography captures this duality with an almost tactile sensitivity: the fabrics seem to move with the wind, the silhouettes blend with the landscape, and the female figures become part of the terrain itself. The soft, suspended northern light amplifies the sense of intimacy and immensity, as if everything were on the verge of dissolving or being reborn.
