Maison Margiela and Reebok have announced the launch of the Classic Leather Tabi in two new colorways, white and black, following the “Bianchetto” version released on January 30th.
The inspiration is that of the codes developed by Margiela’s creative director John Galliano.
The sneaker embodies the peculiar characteristics of the French fashion house in one of Reebok’s most iconic models that, in this version, bring together innovation and nostalgia, fashion and functionality in a contemporary design with a timeless aesthetic.

The sneaker combines two icons in one. Introduced by Maison Margiela in 1988, with its recognizable flip-flop structure and distinctive imprint created by the sole, the Tabi expresses the house’s deconstructive design philosophy. The Classic Leather, on the other hand, was born as a running sneaker in 1983 but over time has become an essential part of a casual wardrobe.
For this collaboration, the Classic Leather has been entirely rebuilt to fit Tabi’s split-toe and is made of Nappa leather with an EVA sole.
A black or white tabi sock is included with each pair of Classic Leather Tabi.
The Classic Leather Tabi will be available starting Friday, February 26th on Reebok.com and in select Maison Margiela boutiques.
