A few days ago in Warsaw Polish artists Dawid Ryski and Maciek Polak, with the help of Good Looking Studio, finished the realization of a new mural that aims to reduce pollution. 

The work manages to perfectly merge the characteristics of the two artists: Dawid Ryski, a landscape architect and illustrator, took care of the architectural elements, while Maciek Polak, muralist and graphic designer, committed himself to integrate natural elements.  

“I tried to make sure that these were actually the buildings of the future – as you can see, they are free from billboards – and that Maciek could fit in his plants beautifully.”

The mural, which covers the entire facade of a building near the Politechnika metro station, is part of a larger initiative born from Converse’s desire to have a positive impact on cities and towns. 

The project takes the name Converse City Forests and, thanks to the collaboration with several international artists, involves the realization of murals in some of the most important cities in the world using photocatalytic paint that is able to neutralize pollutants in the air and transform them into harmless substances.

In fact, the works of Converse City Forest are designed to replace the activity and cleaning power of trees in urban areas without parks and green areas. 

The objective of the entire project is to produce a number of murals capable of replacing about 3,000 trees. To find out where the next works will be realized, visit the Converse City Forest site.
