Find out what happened during the ninth edition of Demanio Marittimo Km-278

We are in Marzocca, near Senigallia, on the Marche coast: Demanio Marittimo Km-278 has been held here for 9 years, it’s an amazing event curated by Cristiana Colli and Pippo Ciorra, promoted by MAPPE magazine in collaboration with MAXXI, the municipality of Senigallia and the Marche region. 12 hours of talk in front of the sea from 6 pm to 6 am every year with a different theme and setting project designed by the students of an international architecture school. This year it was the turn of the Zagreb Faculty of Architecture, with the project “Don’t stare at my window” by Ivana Marić, Rea Mihelko, Zrinka Perić, Nika Vojvoda, who created a set with concave and convex shapes with wood and yellow plastic net. The theme, instead, was Eurotopia, intended both as the last “achievable utopia” and as a space for social, cultural and professional representation and development.

“Eurotopie” was also the title of the Belgian Pavilion at the 2018 edition of the Biennale Architettura designed by the Traumnovelle, a collective of super-young architects present at the talks with the curators of the German Pavilion in 2018 and with Lars Krückeberg of the GRAFT group in Berlin.

In addition, Radioarchitettura group spoke about the condition of young architects in Europe with a group of ex-students from Marche University, Traumnovelle and the Milanese group Eterotopia represented by Carlotta Franco. The Berlin studio Sauerbruch Hutton presented the very recent M9 museum in Mestre, then the Croatian architect Mia Roth Čerina, architects Andrea Zamboni and Massimo Magnani, the gallery owner Franco Nero and representatives of the most celebrated National Pavilions of the Biennale di Venezia 2019 (Lithuania and Ghana) then the artists Enrico David and Rita Selvaggio and many others .

Every year a performance is scheduled, this year an hour, at the stroke of midnight “Apollo 11 Reloaded” began with Maurizio Martusciello and Giulio Maresca, created in collaboration with MAXXI. The project starts with the celebration of the space mission for an audiovisual concert composed of music and archive images, in collaboration with the Italian Space Agency. The Demanio Marittimo Km-278 brings a unique energy to the Adriatic Sea, we just have to wait for the 10th edition hoping for new surprises.
