With their bright colours and many facets, this is how the acrylic paintings of Elyse Dodge, an artist from Vancouver, look. The process is to decompose the landscape in an abstract way, in order to synthesize the emotions and the play of light through well-defined geometric compositions, alternating with soft brushstrokes.

In this regard, the artist explains that:

“The process of discovery, deconstruction and reconstruction of landscapes in minimal works of art has become my obsession. During this journey, I realized that even when nature is broken down into its most basic forms and colours, it remains beautiful“.

Elyse wants to bring the viewer to imagine new scenarios and to appreciate at best what nature offers us, that’s why each table tries to instill a sense of inner peace and serenity to those who need it.

Art becomes the main means to achieve a condition of inner and outer tranquility, accompanied by the rediscovery of nature. Follow Elyse on her Instagram profile, which you will find here.
