If you’ve never heard of it, maybe you need to update yourself a bit, especially because this is a trend that could prove useful for everyone. It’s called “Wardrobing” and consists of renting one or more items of clothing, using it for an evening and then returning it. Basically, without buying anything you will be able to be the most fashionable of all in any case. While this trend is convenient for consumers, brands still don’t know how to deal with it. All but not Diesel, which was inspired by Wardrobing for the creation of the campaign for the new Autumn-Winter 2019 collection, precisely called “Enjoy Before Returning” (enjoy it before returning it).
Both in the photo campaign by Roberto Badin and in the video directed by Similar But Different, we see young people wearing the garments from the new collection, and in the film, we also hear the voiceover reciting Diesel’s return policy for “rented” garments.
The fil rouge of the images are the tags, which can’t be detached at all, coming out of the wrists of the shirts, from the collars of the jackets or commuting from the strap of the watch.
