What is most striking about Eric Chakeen‘s shots is the light, the warm and embracing atmosphere that we find in every project of the American photographer.
Chakeen was born in Del Mar, California, and now lives and works in New York where he has established himself as an editorial and fashion photographer, but not only. Over the years, in addition to working for clients such as Vogue, i-D, Nike and Supreme, he has also managed to find his own personal style, which is reflected in a very precise aesthetic choice.
No matter the subject or the client, no matter whether it is a commissioned work or a personal project, the warm tones and calm atmosphere that distinguishes his work never abandon his shots.
Of all his projects, the one that particularly caught our eye was created by Eric Chakeen during a pleasure trip to Southeast Asia. Here his camera encountered glimpses of different streets and faces, but also food, traditions, and colors far removed from those of the West. In his images, there is everything, the landscape, but also the details, the desolation and the people he met along the way.
Below is a selection of his shots, but to find out more go to his website and Instagram profile.
