A photographic journey to Etna

A few days ago, we went to explore Etna, Europe’s highest volcano located in beautiful Sicily. We immediately noticed the mystical atmosphere of the place and began our walk among black pebbles and lush trees with white trunks. Our mission is to take a photographic journey with Huawei with the guidance of photographer Emilio Messina.

Emilio was not only our photographic guide, but also the narrator of legends and curiosities related to Etna. The first part of the trip took place mainly on the slope of the volcano, taking photographs and videos en plein air. The day was cloudy and the atmosphere had become even more magical. The photographs produced show a strong contrast between the blackness of the ground and the saturated colours of the vegetation, surrounded by a grey sky. The second part, on the other hand, took us inside a cave, where we were able to test the night mode of the Huawei P60 Pro mobile phone, which adapts easily to different lighting and settings.

The day ended magnificently with a visit to Taormina, after a hearty dinner that made the night walk indispensable to work off the endless calories taken in. Here too, the photographs of the square, the cathedral and the view of the gulf are perfectly sharp and give an idea of the beauty of the place.
