Who is Maxime Manga, the illustrator who uses diversity to create uniqueness? “Using diversity to create uniqueness” is his motto. The graphic designer from Cameroon is famous for collaborating with big names such as Adidas, The New Yorker, and The Academy. Today, we will take a look at some of the most interesting illustrations in his journey. Despite being very young – born in 1999 – he has been working since 2016, manipulating classical photography and describing his works as ‘Afrofuturistic’. It is precisely this technique that has allowed him to carve out a niche in the world of graphic design.

Maxime Manga draws inspiration from photography, fashion magazines, traditional African art, and botanical images. His goal is to represent neglected communities using digital collages, geometric shapes, and shiny shades. The perfect example is his latest collaboration with Crocs, which we will show you below.

In Reconstruction, Manga aims to deconstruct ourselves from the debris of our experiences, drawing inspiration from the faces of his subjects for the Heartbroken series.
