Florian Hetz‘s career as a producer for theatre came to an abrupt end due to a cerebral illness. From that moment on, he began to feel the need to fight the loss of memory, and to do this he turned to photography, to stop time more effectively than any other form of art.
Shots become essential to stop sensations and shapes experienced throughout a life, photos become memories, to be represented in the most detailed way possible. This need is expressed by getting as close as possible to the subjects, with close-ups that inspect portions of skin and gestures in which a hand is enough to suggest a sensual or erotic vibration or just a harmonious movement. The swollen veins branching out along muscular arms look like the twisted roads to the most vivid and clear memory, the best form of memory.
