Hidemi Nishida is an artist and architect based in Tokyo who has just presented his latest project, an extension of the previous series belonging to Fragile, with which he continues to investigate the aesthetics of space, the perception of the environment and how man connects with the beauty of the world.

Located on the picturesque Poroto Lake on the island of Hokkaido, Fragile Chairs combines everyday objects produced by man with the natural environment.
For the inhabitants, the lake is still a sanctuary, a place of worship despite the turbulent transformations that the northern island of Japan has undergone over the years.

Nishida’s installation composes what seems to be an ordinary vision, inserting it in an extraordinary, impossible and mystic context.
