Since the release of the Tagliaerbe in 1992, we have all started to dream and imagine the developments of virtual reality, of animated sex with spatial aliens with 3 tits and soft strawberry vaginas, fluttering for fluorescent spirals accompanied by dragonfly wings. But then nothing has been done.

Then it was the turn of the Google Glass and their possible and fantastic use in the porn cinema, the huge possibilities, the shooting in POV, interactivity, multimedia, the essential and all the crap from startupper.

But the only evolution that we enjoyed was categorization of PornHub and animated previews with video highlights. So I avoid bad surprises.

We dreamers, however, we were tied to that imaginary, to that caramel pop tech taste with the NIN and Skunk Anansie music, the hopes for the future a little more cyberpunk, made of new illegal drugs with luminescent colors in test tubes, ergonomic beds at the neon, large mirrored goggles. Guilt by James Cameron and William Gibson.

While waiting for something like that to happen, or that PornHub gives us another small step towards the future, enjoy the animated illustrations of Francois Martin Painchaud aka Phazed. A mixture of skittles pushed to harmony, acid rainbows and a hint of sly glitchism.

And don’t touch yourself then you become blind… like fuck you will enjoy virtual glasses!

Duet, Glen Keane’s revolutionary new animated short for Google

Duet, Glen Keane’s revolutionary new animated short for Google

Buddy · 2 years ago · Art

Glen Keane is a Disney legend. In the late 1980s and ’90s, he was a primary creative force in the Disney renaissance, animating starring characters in blockbusters that included The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and Aladdin.

Duet, his latest and most personal project, tells the story of Mia and Tosh and how their individual paths in life intertwine to create an inseparable duet. A celebration of life through a hand drawn line.

Duet is an elegant, hand-drawn animated short that is bursting at the seams of the possible. Presented below, in the conventional viewing format to which audiences are accustomed, Duet was built specifically by Google to be something revolutionary, a story that needs to be experienced via a smartphone, not just seen.

Different than the traditional linear story, Duet employs a multi-layered approach that could best be described as a double helix in which the characters’ story arcs literally spiral around one another,” said Keane.

Vinilica vol. 88 – Brividee

Vinilica vol. 88 – Brividee

Emanuele D'Angelo · 2 years ago · Art

From SoundCloud to MI AMI without even having an official song under his belt, we understand the potential of the artist. Despite being very, very young he has managed to make a fresh imprint in the scene and in the musical imagination of recent years.
Born in Monza, to keep us company today is Brividee. Anagrafe Vittorio Motto is an artist who belongs to the successful artistic generation under 20 that we are sure will make you dream.

From love gone wrong to the boredom of days always the same, Brividee has the ability to tell the ordinary turning it into extraordinary.
And this ability combined with talent has been immediately recognized and without mincing words we want to tell you that it is almost mandatory to listen to his new single “Piazza”.

An obligatory invitation almost a threat, let it be clear, in this track the Lombard artist transports us into his reality, tracing the loves, disappointments and evenings with friends to overcome them.

“Piazza” is a modern tale of youthful disillusionment, a track with a strong personal character, accompanied by a colorful production that touches hip hop and alternative.

A freshness, his, intuitable also from the musical choices made for the usual playlist exclusively for Collater.al Mag.
Here it is below, just waiting for you for a beautiful journey to discover an artist who will conquer you in a short time.

Philipp Frank and his light installations

Philipp Frank and his light installations

Giulia Guido · 2 years ago · Art

Hypnotized, that’s how I felt when I discovered Philipp Frank‘s work. Almost by chance, while scrolling through Instagram, I came across a video of a mushroom that seemed to come to life thanks to geometric beams of light projected onto its red hat. Intrigued, I went to Philipp Frank’s profile and discovered an enchanted world.

Philipp Frank is an artist who grew up between Paris and Munich. His first approach to art was through graffiti, then, while photographing his artwork, he approached the world of photography and video. Today, after working for years as an art director and illustrator, Philipp specializes in site-specific installations and light art.

His works are the result of a process that involves choosing the perfect location, mapping the surface on which he has decided to project, creating the images to be projected and, finally, shooting the final result.

A recurring feature in his work, since his first murals, is the geometric element. Squares, triangles, circles and lines intersect to create patterns that fit the chosen location like a tailor-made suit.

“Rock Lights”

Philipp Frank seems to be especially attracted to nature. For example, with “Rock Lights“, the artist created a series of projections using a rock formation on Koh Phangan, an island in the southeast of Thailand, as a canvas. For “Message from the Forest“, the artist worked in the Perlacher Forst, a forest area south-east of Munich, where he projected positive phrases onto tree trunks. It is as if nature were speaking to us and inviting us to relax and forget reality for a moment.

But Philipp Frank’s works can also be adapted to different contexts. In 2018, he created “Trinity“, a site-specific work for St. Ludwig’s Church in Munich, for which he built a surface consisting of a triangle and a semicircle that served as a backdrop for a game of 3D projections. The end result is reminiscent of an enormous kaleidoscope.

Lately, however, Philipp has returned to working in contact with nature and on his Instagram profile you can see how broken logs, mushrooms, flowers and bushes are awakened by his projections. It is as if, touched by a magic wand, nature comes back to life.

“Luca”, the trailer for the new Disney Pixar film

“Luca”, the trailer for the new Disney Pixar film

Giulia Guido · 2 years ago · Art

We have been waiting anxiously since it was announced and now we can finally watch the first official trailer for “Luca“, the next Disney Pixar film out on June 18th

The feature film, the 24th from the American production company, comes after “Soul” which, despite the closure of the cinemas, was a great success, both with the public on Disney+ and with the critics.

Luca” is the first Disney Pixar film directed by an Italian, Enrico Casarosa, and set in Italy. In fact, for the film, the Genoa-born director took inspiration from his childhood, deciding to bring to the big screen a typical Italian summer spent among the characteristic villages of the Ligurian Riviera.

A young boy experiences an unforgettable seaside summer on the Italian Riviera filled with gelato, pasta and endless scooter rides. Luca shares these adventures with his newfound best friend, but all the fun is threatened by a deeply-held secret: he is a sea monster from another world just below the ocean’s surface“, this is the official synopsis released.

Maybe it’s the shop signs that read “focacceria” or “latteria”, maybe it’s the caruggi that lead to the sea, maybe it’s Enrico Casarosa’s amazing career, but we are already in love with “Luca” and can’t wait to see it.

For the moment, don’t miss the trailer below!
