Climax is the controversial director’s Gaspar Noè new film. It was presented last week at the Cannes Festival.

The film gathered lots of shame from his detractors, but we already know that is not a problem for Gaspar Noè, on the contrary, as happened for irreversible or Love, it appears his media power increases the more he’s criticized.

The film is the story of a group of dancers who choose an abandoned college for their days’ long performance venue. But the real film starts when, during a party, someone secretly adds LSD to a sangria bucket. The Argentine director films the delirious trip of the drugged party members: some of them will ascend to heaven while others will proceed directly to hell’s gate. The scenes are in fact characterized by chaos and anarchy: music, blood, neon lights, sex and drugs.
