In Giza, Forever Is Now celebrates its fourth edition from October 24 to November 16, 2024, with support from the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, Foreign Affairs, and UNESCO. Set against the iconic backdrop of the Pyramids, this exhibition brings together twelve international artists in an artistic dialogue that spans centuries.

This year’s theme turns art into a bridge between past and present, showcasing artists from the United Kingdom, Italy, South Korea, South Africa, Belgium, Lebanon, France, Egypt, India, Greece, Spain, and Canada. Among them are Chris Levine, Federica Di Carlo, Ik-Joong Kang, Jake Michael Singer, Jean Boghossian, Jean-Marie Appriou, Khaled Zaki, Luca Boffi, Marie Khouri, Shilo Shiv Suleman, STUDIO INI by Nassia Inglessis, Alberonero, and Xavier Mascaro, each bringing a unique and original artistic narrative.

This edition also features two special projects: Egyptian-American artist Hassan Ragab, supported by Meta, who explores art through artificial intelligence, and Saudi artist Daniah Al Saleh, whose video installation pays homage to Egyptian cinema of the 1940s-1960s, evoking its influences on love, fashion, and collective memory.

The second project by Al Saleh presents a 10-minute video installation that transports viewers to the golden age of Egyptian cinema (1940-1960). Evanesce explores the nostalgic allure of this period, using machine learning to evoke the ways cinema challenged norms on love, fashion, and personal expression, raising questions about how these films have shaped our collective memories and perceptions of reality.
