It’s true, the plane is much faster, and the car gives you much more freedom, but the charm of a train journey is always timeless. Imagine that you are comfortably seated in a carriage and see out the window the landscape of southern England. That’s what the Famous Five does, the protagonist of the famous series of novels for children by Enid Blyton, in the latest spot of the new Intercity Express trains of the Great Western Railway.

The video created by the Adam&eveDDB agency visually recalls the covers of the novels made in watercolor.

We see Julian, George, Dick, Anne, and Timmy launching in pursuit of a criminal. While the extravagant wanted to escape uses a series of taxis, the quintet relies on GWR trains. So we pass through Cardiff, Exeter Cathedral, to arrive at the Baths spa and finish the journey in London.
