Gucci has just presented a new capsule collection inspired by the work of American designer Ken Scott and especially by the period Scott spent in Milan starting in 1955, when he opened a studio in the city, founding together with Vittorio Fiorazzo the Falconetto brand, specialized in printed textiles for furniture. 

What made him famous both in interior design and in the world of fashion, was the breaking of the standards of the time by using bright colors and bold combinations, but it was especially with the floral motifs that he earned the nickname “gardener of fashion”.

Prints featuring roses, peonies, sunflowers and poppies characterize a number of items from Gucci’s Epilogue collection, including men’s pieces such as outerwear, suits, jumpsuits, etc. While the selection of women’s items includes sweatshirts, T-shirts, blazers, underwear and more.
The same prints can also be found on men’s and women’s sneakers, bags and hats (cap and bucket hat).

“Ken Scott was a really great creator of fabrics. He mapped out flowers with romanticism and flowers into pop culture. He treated flowers like shop signs, he multiplied them, turned them into something that stood out. I like his work because I am obsessed with floral prints”, these are the words of Gucci’s creative director Alessandro Michele commenting on the capsule collection.
