Sherwin and Jonathan are two teenagers, live in the same city, attend the same school and are overwhelmed by the first sentimental feelings typical of their age.
Sherwin and Jonathan are the protagonists of In a Heartbeat, the first animated short film that explicitly explores the theme of homosexual love.
Beth Devis and Esteban Bravo, two students at the Ringling College of Art & Design in Sarasota and as well the project authors, wanted to fill the void about the subject giving voice to a generational need, developing a story that, in the world of animation, generally addressed to children, had never been treated openly.
After the gay mothers of “Finding Dory“, on which remains the doubt, and the character of Le Tont, openly gay, in the remake of “The Beauty and the Beast“, now come Sherwin and Jonathan, of whom surely we will fall in love.
The short video should come out this summer but the two authors are still looking for some fund, if you want to help them you can do it here.
