Hey Pressto, stop motion on human skin

Over the years, the various animation studios around the world have accustomed us to seeing everything.
Projects so incredible and unbelievable that make us speechless.
But the creative agency DBLG and the animation studio Animade work, for the tenth anniversary of the first one, exceeds all limits.

Both specialized in creating super content that mixes 3D, stop-motion and digital animation, have joined forces to bring the animations onto a surface on which they had never been, the human body.
After choosing their favorites areas between chest, nipples, breasts, buttocks and belly, they began to think about what stories to tell and, above all, how to do it.

The answer, after various brainstorming, was 3D.
Small “stamps” with words, drawings and objects that, pressed on the skin, left a mark deep enough to be able, frame by frame, to create movements.

What was born are micro animations in stop motion from titles like,’ light bulb’,’ nipple walk’ and’ sneeze’ and’ party’, part of the Hey Pressto project.

An incredible work that, in addition to the work of the two agencies, has also seen the collaboration of Mutant Jukebox for sound compositions and, as director of photography, Malcolm Hadley, who has just finished working on Isle of Dogs, Wes Anderson’s latest film.
