In King’s Road, one of the main streets in London’s Chelsea district, the Humble Pizza has just opened, completely redesigned by the design studio Child Studio

The team of designers, led by Chieh Huang and Alexey Kostikov, based the entire project on a single final objective, that of modernizing the classic London cafés, but without forgetting their history and importance.

These places, known as Formica Cafes or Greasy Spoon, were the bars and clubs frequented by the workers who began to depopulate the British capital in the 1950s and helped to spread the culture of coffee.

The designers of the Child Studio decided to maintain the original structure, both externally and internally, but giving a pop touch that lately is very fashionable, namely to choose for the surfaces, tables, sofas, walls, door and even the small details of a bright and welcoming pastel pink hue.

This contemporary style is perfectly combined with the gastronomic choice that the Humble Pizza offers, i.e. an entire menu of vegan pizzas.

It’s worth saying, the tradition is tinged with pink.
