Icehotel, the ice-sculpted art hotel in Jukkasjärvi

200 km from the Arctic Circle, in the small village of Jukkasjärvi, arises the Icehotel, an incredible hotel entirely carved in ice.
Born in 1989 as a lucky accommodation for artists who were taking part in a sculpture course, the experience was so unique that over the years it has become a reference place for those who want to live some unforgettable days.
Nothing is missing, from the rooms to the bar, from the beautiful sculptures to the church, everything is entirely sculpted in the ice taken from the waters of the river Torne.

This year, moreover, will be the first time it will be possible to visit this dream structure even during the hottest seasons, in fact, cooling systems have just been inserted to avoid the dissolution of the entire structure because of the heat.
Until last year the hotel melted with the arrival of spring and was rebuilt, chisel after chisel, with the arrival of winter every year.

If you want to try to visit the Icehotel you can go here, with a little patience your turn will also arrive.
