Iceman Ötzi Peak, a platform 3251 meters high

Just a stone’s throw from Austria, on the border with Italy, at the top of the glacier crest of the Val Senales there is the splendid new project of Noa* Network of Architecture.

Exactly 3251 meters above sea level takes place the “Iceman Ötzi Peak”, a breathtaking platform with a view of the mountain ranges.

The platform is one of the highest in Europe and can be reached easily and safely within minutes. On an area of 70 square meters has been placed a slit that turns the eyes of visitors to the Similaun, at whose feet in 1991, was discovered the most famous glacier mummy in the world. For this reason the platform is named after the Iceman.

From the platform you can also enjoy a wonderful view of the Giogo Alto glacier and the border between Italy and Austria marked by the water flowing at the foot of the glacier: the water will reach the Adriatic Sea on one side and the Black Sea on the other.
