For this Illustrated Interview, I chose a young artist whom I had the pleasure to meet in person. I came across her illustrations almost by chance and I was immediately fascinated. Her name is Giulia, but she is known as Lineette, and her works have a fundamental characteristic, that is to be without veils, without filters. 

What inspires Lineette is everyday life with its beautiful moments and those so complicated as to be difficult to explain, well, she turns them into images, thus managing to give them a universal language. 

She herself says that she started drawing when she was a child, at that time when at home you watch cartoons and at school begin to show sex education videos, that’s why her subjects certainly do not lack the nudes and intimate situations that sometimes manage to be almost awkward. 

I think her colorful style of mixing chronic sadness, Japanese cartoons, cooking programs and a thousand other things is perfect for answering the questions of our Illustrated Interview.
