“La Montagne”, trekking on the catwalk with Jacquemus

No longer fields of wheat or lavender, Jacquemus this time catapults us into a new context, at least for what are the habits of Simon Porte Jacquemus, who returns with a fashion show a year after L’Amour” and always outside the official fashion calendar.

This time we are in the mountains, in fact the show is titled “La Montagne”, or rather in what is a setting that recalls a mountain landscape – sky-blue walls and a green carpet that simulates a sort of hill – the 2021 see-now buy-now fashion collection presents the new creations of the French designer that draw inspiration from one of this year’s trends, trekking.

“For this collection, after such a special year, I wanted to bring people together and share a fashion moment together. i wanted to focus on the clothes, silhouettes, colors, fabrics, details and energy of the models. I wanted the set to be minimal and sharp, recreating an artistic and abstract mountain that resonate the inspiration of the collection. Welcome back!”, wrote Simon in a story before the show.

The show was staged on the fashion house’s Instagram profile reaching 3.5 million followers who follow the page and with very few guests physically present at the show. The collection is characterized by what are the aesthetic cornerstones of Simon, atypical silhouettes, bright and bold colors such as light blue, neon yellow and deep red that are mixed with the warm colors of the earth and more neutral ones such as black and white, all re-interpreted with delicacy by the typical elements of trekking such as zippers, hooks, suspenders, straps and ropes.

Among the models who walked the runway for Jacquemus, two names of absolute appeal stand out, such as Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid.

The collection, as we said at the beginning, is see-now buy-now so it is already available on the website of the French fashion house via pre-order.
