Today opens the call to be part of the band within the new artists’ residency of Jazz:Re:Found. After the previous projects Re:Earth and La Leggenda del Molleggiato, at Cittadellarte – Fondazione Pistoletto starts “Match. Learning Jazz with Rap, learning Rap with Jazz”.

The residency will open from October 21 to November 13 and the program will be divided into three parts: Team Building, Artistic Laboratory, Studio Recording.
The goal is to make different languages such as jazz music and rap dance together, united by their origins in the streets and improvisation as the praise of technique. Bringing together different artists in a single residence means for Jazz:Re:Found to create an artistic link, to enhance a scene that abroad already sees world-class artists. Starting from the example of Barak Obama’s end-of-term concert, which brought jazz and rap sounds to the White House, during the event we will think about the Italian future of the genre. To help the artists there will be partners and musicians of the first level as Denis Longhi, Bassi Maestro, Raffaele Costantino, Sarathy Korwar and Filippo Palazzo.

The musicians will be selected through a contest that starts on September 28 and will end on October 13, dedicated to young performers and producers. Here is the link to participate.
