Kuralay Meirbekova is a young contemporary artist, known for her one-line technique. Born and raised in Kazakhstan, she later moved to Liverpool where she achieved the architecture degree and has a special interest in interior design. In spite of it, her greatest passion is drawing and painting, through which she defines and explore her inner artistic nature. The focus of her interest in the painting are people and constant search of a distinctive visual language that would be recognizable and convey her own idea of reality. In the past four years, Kuralay developed the one-line technique. This approach naturally spread to other media, like video animation, metal wire installations, and textile art.
She presented in May her second solo exhibition in Helsinki, but certainly we’ll hear soon of her.
