Lacoste x La Haine is already making history in French streetwear

A few hours ago, Lacoste announced a collaboration – Lacoste x La Haine – celebrating the cultural impact of the film with an ultra-limited capsule collection of five pieces embodying the values of youth, hope, and unity. La Haine is an iconic film, viscerally tied to 90s streetwear, and we’ve already discussed the connection between the two here.

The collection will be available exclusively at the runway show location – on March 9 during Paris Fashion Week – on the website lahaine-live.com, and from March 22 at the Lacoste Arena Paris flagship store. After the announcement, the first thought is that this collaboration is destined to make streetwear history by bringing together one of the most recognizable French brands with one of the films that crystallized the streetwear aesthetic still influencing us today.

This partnership comes just a few months after another collaboration we loved: Lacoste’s collection with Maison Château Rouge. The result, created with the brand founded by Youssouf Fofana in the heart of Paris’ 18th arrondissement – a historic neighborhood linked to the African diaspora – was a vibrant, multicultural collection celebrating craftsmanship and the fusion of traditions. Now, all that’s left is to see the show and hope that brands like Lacoste continue to tell stories of subcultures, streetwear, and convey messages of unity and hope.
