Born in sport, raised in culture. That’s the statement with which Maha Amsterdam and Nike introduce one of the summer’s most exciting collaborations: a lifestyle reinterpretation of the legendary T90 Shox Magia, a silhouette first released in 2003 for indoor football. Available in limited quantities, it’s shaping up to be one of the must-have drops for those who see sneaker culture as a true form of identity.

Maha Amsterdam, an independent retailer and brand founded by Saskia van Hofwegen and Dian Iskandar, has built a unique aesthetic in women’s streetwear—rooted in values like self-expression, community, and quality. With this same mindset, they’ve rewritten the narrative of one of the most iconic shoes in the Nike archive, bringing it from the pitch to the streets of today’s culture.

Starting from the solid base of the T90 Shox Magia, Maha’s new version stands out with premium materials and detailing that expresses a new kind of aesthetic power: a glossy black patent upper, contrasting chrome heel block, and stacked Shox sole that retains the silhouette’s early-2000s DNA. A co-branded Maha Amsterdam x Nike logo appears on the tongue and insole, underscoring the shared vision. Adding to the exclusivity, a limited silver colorway—available only through Maha—features an iridescent PVD finish reminiscent of liquid fuel reflections.

The design’s concept is rooted in a dialogue between two seemingly opposite yet deeply connected worlds: football and dance. This duality reflects the background of the founders—Iskandar grew up playing football, van Hofwegen trained in dance—and becomes the heartbeat of the visual campaign by Jordan Hemingway. Front and center is India Sardjoe, Dutch Olympic athlete and Nike ambassador, joined by a selection of dancers and performers who transform iconic football gestures into expressive movements that blur energy and visual poetry.

Scorpion Kick, Hand of God, half-bicycle kicks—each is reimagined through the language of dance, generating an iconographic spark between sport, art, and pop culture. The Maha Amsterdam T90 Shox Magia is more than just a sneaker: it’s a narrative object that fuses nostalgia and forward-thinking, strength and softness, femininity and masculinity—proving that opposites, when balanced, can give rise to something powerful.
