Artist Marinella Senatore has recently completed her latest installation entitled “We Rise by Lifting Others” and built at Palazzo Strozzi in Florence and visitable until February 7th.
The project aims to make us reflect on the idea of community and participation in a historical moment in which social distancing has become part of our daily life.
Produced in collaboration with the artisans of Puglia, the installation of the Italian artist, which recalls the one created for the Dior fashion show in Lecce this summer, is a huge luminaria that stands out in the courtyard of the palace, over ten meters high and made of hundreds of LED lights.
The installation with its shapes will invade the Renaissance courtyard, giving it a new light and transforming it into a space of connection between the physical and the digital. These lights in fact intertwine in suggestive architectures made of shapes, colors, sentences.
With this work, she has created an experience between history, popular culture and social structures, which have always been the basic elements of the artist’s research.
Now let the images speak, here is the masterpiece signed Marinella Senatore for Palazzo Strozzi in Florence.
