Martina Francone is an Italian illustrator based in Denmark who makes works strongly characterized by warm colors such as red, orange and yellow. The recreated atmosphere is intimate and emotional but at the same time narrative and strongly communicative: Martina’s story is very interesting because at the age of 19 she has traveled around Europe and this has influenced her art.
In her illustrated book Abbecedario illustrator per i viaggi in solitaria, the artist is told through illustrations that represent the theme of travel as an existential path of growth and inner enrichment. Her sensitivity translates into a well-defined style, which is able to convey emotions with great immediacy and simplicity.
