India meets the Emirates in the Masti restaurant in Dubai

Every single detail, from the furniture to the food, without forgetting the name, of the Masti restaurant designed by Studio Lotus screams “India”, but from the terrace, you can admire the skyline of Dubai.

The Masti, a name that in Hindi means malice and fun, is located in the brand new La Mer district of the city of the Arab Emirates and has a two-storey structure that has made it possible to create a clear division between the bar area, chaotic and free, and the restaurant area, more intimate and quiet. In both, however, you can taste some of the typical specialties of Indian cuisine.

So, the designers of Studio Lotus had to work alongside the gastronomic choice, opting for a decor that would unite two cultures and two countries, with the aim of creating an authentic place, a new place for the native population, but where any Indian could feel at home.

The ground floor has low furniture and a palette of bright colors, creating perfect spaces to spend an afternoon and have a drink just out of the majestic bar with its mosaic of marble, brass, and wood.

Upstairs you can dine in comfortable private rooms or on the terraces and admire the view. Here too we find some pieces of furniture peculiar to Indian culture, always with seats and tables at half-height, a palette of colors that becomes darker but also more lively and typical furnishings with abundant use of brass.
