Merijn Hos is an artist and illustrator based in Utrecht who creates works characterized by a strongly abstract and visionary style. Merijn divides his time between creative visual research and commercial requests, in fact among his clients we find Coca-Cola, Dazed & Confused Magazine, Down The Rabbit Hole Festival and again, Red Bull, WIRED Magazine, Keds, Vice Magazine, Pepsi, Adobe and Nike.
His palette is mainly characterized by pastel tones, carefully blurred, degraded and softened to form a visual experience in the round, evocative and visionary. Through abstraction, it is possible to free all the deepest inner drives and reach a state of calm and serenity, feelings that we find when looking at his creations.
Geometric combinations and gradients are essential elements for the artist who explores, discovers and experiments. But that’s not all, because Merijn is also famous for his beautiful wood carvings!
We can, therefore, define Merijn Hos as an artist with a mixed media attitude, who does not set barriers between the various artistic disciplines but takes them to another level. Find out more about his website and don’t forget to follow him on Instagram.
