Yesterday, the new Apple store officially opened its doors in Rome, precisely in the historic Palazzo Marignoli in Via del Corso. It will be the 17th Apple store in Italy and the largest service center of the “Apple” in Europe.
But the real news is that, as always, Apple has entrusted the architectural firm Foster + Partners, which has masterfully restructured the entire complex, paying homage to the rich history of art of the Italian capital.
It was by no means an easy challenge. Palazzo Marignoli was built in 1873, a place where you can breathe culture, art and history, frequented in its time by great artists, writers and actors.

But the architects have succeeded in the arduous task of blending together history and technology, past and present. Keeping the original structure more or less intact, adding only elements consistent with the history and importance of the building.
The element to which the architects have given most importance is definitely the light. All the large windows overlooking the beautiful Via del Corso allow natural light to fill the interior. Another element that surely characterizes is the outdoor terrace, brought back to its former splendor, planting different types of trees.
The new store is a celebration of the unique history and artistry of Roman culture, and we hope to inspire creativity in the community.
A jewel in the heart of Rome, here are all the photos of the largest and certainly most beautiful store (but don’t tell anyone) in Europe.
